The Team
Chandonae Baskin
Founder
Chandonae Baskin is best-known for her gritty, suspenseful crime drama “After Dusk”. After a successful crowdfunding campaign and rigorous marketing, “After Dusk” collected thousands of view on YouTube, and cemented Chan as one of the prominent rising voices in the Nashville film industry.
In her relentless pursuit of being a great filmmaker, Chan believes in the power of telling a good story, and is a performance-driven director. She is also known for creating compelling cinematic experiences by telling authentic gritty stories with vivid colors. Her style is influenced by Spike Lee, Tarantino, and Paul Thomas Anderson. Chan has an M.F.A. in Creative Media and Film with a focus in Directing and Writing.
Currently, Chan is finalizing and preparing to undertake her debut feature film, “Engagement”, under her company, Story Collector Productions. In her spare time, she likes to slurp ramen, drink Mojitos and play video games.
Christopher James Smith
Co - Founder
Christopher James Smith is a multifaceted software engineer and a dynamic producer in the film and music industries. With a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics, Chris’ technical acumen is balanced with his creative flair, having produced several short films and musical projects across various genres. His short film, "After Dusk," received notable recognition and thousands of views on YouTube.
Christopher has distinguished himself as a producer and engineer, contributing his innovative vision to both the film and music landscapes. Currently producing a feature film, he has already achieved success as a producer or executive producer on several shorts.
Chris is driven by a profound set of goals and aspirations, aiming to become a pioneering entrepreneur in the entertainment industry. His ambitions extend to producing critically acclaimed feature films and albums, creating transformative software products, and fostering opportunities for minorities and underprivileged individuals.
Beyond his professional endeavors and aspirations, Chris is passionate about a range of hobbies, including making music, fitness and sports, cooking, and video gaming.
